Established in 1999 by Crystal Hume, an educator and homeschooling parent who saw the need for one day a week classes that would meet the needs of the varying ages in a homeschool family. Her vision was to provide challenging classes for homeschool students that would allow them to excel and prepare them for college level work while providing an enriching environment for younger siblings.
ICAP is a program offering supplemental and
academic classes to the entire Christian homeschool
family, K - 12th grades, at one location, 1 day a week.
It is college-prep level academic and elective classes
for junior high and high school students. Certain
junior high and high school classes have designated
curriculum that parents are responsible to provide.
See individual class descriptions for details.
It is drama, art, and music classes.
It is 25+ classes on one day and one location for all
ages.
It is hands-on activity classes for elementary
students.
It is free study hall, preschool and nursery care
available each hour for siblings of enrolled students.
It is a program that holds students to a high code of
conduct and enforces a conservative dress code.
(check for site specific standards).
It is very reasonable tuition costs at each level;
register for one class or several.
It is a place where students can enjoy the benefits of
a classroom setting in a safe environment.
It is a place where teachers can enjoy teaching (and
get paid for it)!
Mothers of elementary & junior high students stay
involved in their student's day by assisting in the
classrooms, but they do not have to teach.
It is not an Independent Study Program; we do
not keep your records or "give credits," we will not
"do it for you," you remain your student's primary
teacher.
New students are accepted each semester as space is available.
Individuals interested in teaching should contact the site administrator. | |
